Dunbar coached with the Minnesota Wilderness and Minot Minotauros of the NAHL prior to serving as an Assistant Coach at the NCAA level with Wisconsin Superior. As a player, Dunbar backstopped the Marian Sabres (Athletic Hall of Fame 2016) to 2 Harris Cups.  MCHA Player of the Year in 2004, he spent the next 6 seasons in the CHL, SPHL, & ECHL. Dunbar has 7 years of experience advising high end players; AJ Reyelts (Penticton WHL), Heath Nelson (Augustana CCHA), Carson Pavlowich (Air Force AHA), Isaac Johnson (Bemidji State CCHA), Trevor Stachowiak (UMD NCHC) & Jake Fisher (Denver NCHC).

Prior to joining CrossCheck, Shaw spent four seasons as the Head Coach and General Manager for the Kenai River Brown Bears of the NAHL. During his tenure in Kenai River, the Brown Bears set a franchise record for single season Wins. Shaw oversaw the commitments of over 50 NAHL players from the NAHL into NCAA Division I and Division III ranks. Shaw retired from Coaching after the 24-25 season as the longest tenured Head Coach in the North American Hockey League's Midwest Division. Shaw spent 11 total seasons behind the bench and now leverages that experience to help players and their families navigate next steps.
