heath nelson #22 augustana ncaa
Heath Nelson is a great example of a player who was had room to improve. His journey from High School at Centennial USHS-MN, to NCAA D1 Augustana had several critical stops. Heath has earned the respect of prominent coaches, GM's, and scouts through his drive to get better. We are grateful to be a part of his path and are looking for the next Heath Nelson.
Getting Started
Heath was spotted playing for the Kenai River Brown Bears 18U Fall team and began working with Terry Dunbar in September of his Senior year. There was one missing piece in his game. OFF ICE. Once identified, Heath elevated his training and the real player came out. From 9 goals and 20 points to 38 goals and 70 points!
Development
Earning an NAHL Tender with the Bismarck Bobcats, Heath played with them in the spring of '24. He continued getting stronger off the ice. In '24-'25, he made the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders in the USHL as a free agent. Heath posted 16 goals and 31 points in his rookie year and committed to Augustana in the CCHA.
Execution
Heath proved himself a reliable 200 ft player and was listed by the Victoria Royals of the WHL. In 25-26, Heath racked up 21 goals, 45 pts in Victoria. He enrolled in Augustana this fall and scored his first NCAA goal against Nebraska Omaha on October 16th, 2026. If you are a hungry player like Heath, let's get started.
